World Vision is currently seeking qualified candidates for the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Director position for an anticipated five-year USAID Democratic Republic of the Congo Multi-Sector Nutrition (MSN) Activity.


As the Director of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, you will be responsible for oversight and technical guidance for all monitoring, evaluation, learning, project information system and knowledge management activities. This includes but is not limited to establishing a project-wide approach to analysis and interpretation of data, tracking performance against contractual and other targets, promoting data use within the project and with stakeholders, and serves as the point of contract for all project related research, and assist project staff analyse project data to better understand strengths, weaknesses, and programmatic direction.


Requirements include:


  • Master's degree or international equivalent in Public Health, Statistics, Nutrition, Social Sciences or related field.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related work experience in managing and implementing M&E systems for donor-funded projects, preferably within multisector programs.
  • Solid understanding of USAID regulations and M&E and learning reporting requirements
  • Ability to translate technical information into practical guidance and tools and effectively communicate these using print, electronic, and presentation media
  • Experience training implementers and policymakers; ability to work in a team consisting of people with different technical backgrounds and with varying levels of technical training.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English and French.
