Role Purpose
Drive the in-market commercial intelligence from multiple sources, official and unofficial to generate actional insights. The Market intelligence Manager tracks changes on the ground and drive ROI by analyzing and prescribing actions on the ground that can be translated to incremental revenue, usage and NPS.
Key Responsibilities
• Generate
contextual insight on Deep Detractors pinpointing the key actions to drive NPS
with all stakeholders.
• Analyse the
market share trends using internal & external data (internal data from
Billing & IT, external data from Regulator, surveys & other sources)
and perform analysis to support decision making process;
• Responsible for the development and implementation of
market intelligence plans and relationships to market intelligence
suppliers/partners.
• Compiles and deliver business intelligence reports to CXO’s
on a regular basis.
• Follow up on new promo launch by competitors (National
& Regional) and submit daily, weekly, monthly reports to preserve
competitiveness.
• Monitoring competitors campaign TV, Radio, billboard,
digital (National & Regional);
• Monitoring of competition new offers on international &
roaming.
• Drive deep consumer/customer understanding and ensure all
marketing and product management projects are designed with the consumer at
heart.
• Directional Payback tracking on commercial performance on
rollout execution and planning.
• Analyse the
competitive commercial strategies (tariffs, offers, promotions, services,
distribution, communication, CVM …), anticipate evolution of this strategies
and analyse
their impact on our company.
• Give suggestions and recommendations to the marketing and
commercial team in terms of tactical and strategic actions from Business
intelligence & Geo-marketing performance.
• Build Strong relationship with colleagues in (Marketing,
Finances, Network & Sales/Distribution) HQ & regions to facilitate
understanding of insights and drive decisions.
• Build company knowledge on market trends and consumer needs
& behavior and track how this impact the business performance. This
includes all research projects tracked on regular basis on product, brand, B2B,
mobile money and touch point experience (Shop, call center, traditional medias,
digital…etc)
• Monitor the execution of all research projects under his
responsibility to ensure standards rules are followed and all the outcomes are
shared with the regional team.
• From the research outcomes and intelligence data, advise
the company on the best strategies and tacticals
to fully take advantage from the market opportunity. This includes a closer
follow up of all actions taken to leverage the company performance coming from
projects under his responsibility (BMS, CHT, Conjoint analysis, Segmentation,
digital monitoring...etc).
Professional Skills and Experience
• Proven ability
to effectively manage large-scale market research including market shares
analysis in a telecommunications environment.
• Proven experience of market intelligence data analysis and
competition intelligence derivation
• Significant and proven experience (2-5 years) with both
qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Ability to multi-task and
be proactive & independent in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Knowledge & Education
• Industry knowledge;
• Understanding of marketing intelligence strategy;
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral is needed;
• Good Presentation skills is needed.
• Intermediate to Advance statistic and mathematical representation of business
acumen.
• Good in Excel, Power BI, Power Point, SPSS
• Languages: Fluency in English and French is needed;
• University degree in marketing / economics / statistics
